The Truth In the Dark

The truth is whispered in the dark
But is lost in the wind
People look ahead in life
Only to catch glimpses of the end

People saying ignorance is bliss
But knowledge is power
They say memories are like minutes
Cause your lifetimes like an hour

They say lies to get leverage
And accusations to point blame
Honesty to gain respect
And truth to bring shame

They say live your life
Like it just might end tomorrow
No time to feel regret
No time to feel sorrow

The truth may be lost in the dark
But very few can see
The real answers in life
Lie behind you and me

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
