The Truth
Are you okay?
You seem to feel nothing but dismay.
Your world painted a dismal and rainy gray.
Detaching yourself from the life around,
can I save you if you are able to be found?
Fear settles into your confused soul,
so alone in the beauty of the moonlight,
so alone.
Give me your hand,
together we can put up a fight.
I close my eyes and feel euphoria,
this is all just a simple dream.
Drifting away as the battle rages around
, forever we will treasure the victory.
A broken heart.
Crying as the blood of our souls flows forth.
Love kills all pain in the fears
of never returning to the life we once had before.
Denying the danger,
ignoring the sorrow,
torn apart as we journey home.
Commands scrawled out in gentle script
on my empty heart.
The red blood leaving behind a distorted image,
an imprint in your lost,
forsaken mind.
Ashamed, you fall to your knees,
the tears cascade from your eyes.
Will they ever forgive us for believeing
in all that we knew?
The light.
The beauty.
The faith.
The truth.
