The Truth

You talk of love
With your eyes full of hate
You talk of openness
  Yet you shut your gate

You talk of caring
  Without any kindness
You talk of visions
   But you wallow in blindness

You talk of belief
   Yet change with each season
You talk of understanding
But with you there's no reason

You talk of sharing
   Yet you always want more
You talk of peace
     Yet you advocate war

In words of wisdom
   You try to drown
While common sense
     Wears a lonely crown

So I say to you
And your words with no meaning
I'd rather listen
      To someone who's dreaming

Dreaming of a world
   That's a better place
Sharing their dreams
      With honest face.

An example of saying one thing, but meaning another. Weightless words. And yes, I'd also rather listen to someone who's dreaming, at least one can feel their sincerity. Nicely Written, Thanks for sharing.

This poem is brilliant, it's a sad but hopeful poem as you get to the end, great job. - Phoenix <3
