The True Friend

Never found so lonely in the battlefield, Surrounded by hunger, poverty, unemployment, Inactive mind and a heartless body, Seems I'm lost, tiring, weapons not working. Somebody as bright as sun, Eyes like glittering pearl, Smile like a rejuvenated flower. Riding a white horse, Approached me, and I felt sleepy as never before, In the dream, he told me stories from the east, People not getting food for weeks, People unemployed for years, Countless people not having a single penny, But they are happy, Hope is what they have, I woke up, and found friend had gone But the hope was with me, And I was not alone anymore, And realized my true friend, Was none other than my soul!
