The True American Dream
I just want to be able to write to you
and tell you
I love you
I want to be able to tell you
that I want a better world
I want to be able to tell you
I don't want more than I need
I just want enough to live a decent life
so that I may be of service to my fellow man.
That's what I am telling you
from the depths of my American soul
That is the American dream
and that is the human dream
and that is the dream the true heroes of my country
intended for the world.
