The Troubles of Wanting More

Once there was a small girl who lived with her parents in the middle of nowhere in the country. Her best friend, on the other hand, lived in a big house in the city. The little country girl was alway extremely jealous of her best friend, for she lived in a big house and had such nice and expensive things. All the little country girl had was a small house and her parents. Even with very little, her best friend always wanted to go over to the little country girls house and never her own. They would run and play outside together. Her parents loved her and welcomed her with open arms. One day the little country girl asked, “Why would someone with such a beautiful house and a rich family want to come over here?” Her best friend answered,”Just because it is worth more does not mean that it is better.” The girls eventually grew apart. The little country girl never got over her jealousy. She ended up living in a big house with very expensive things, but she was all alone. But the girl who was once her best friend, she ended up living in a small house in the middle of nowhere with her new family. Happier then she had ever been before.
