The Troubled Man

The Troubled Man

Trouble sits like a quiet trigger at his shoulder

He is calm

No one knows him
Or knows the places and things he has seen

He sit there calm
Quiet thoughtful
Respectful of his surroundings

They cannot see the art self-control
Adept without a muscle twitch

He is calm

But there is a pissed off monster lurking in his blood

He is calm

Only injustice
And peoples lack of respect
Can irk it to retaliate

Then some may learn what the fizzog of a pissed off monster
Really looks like

But

He is calm

And to the surprise of many
Should they discover
That this man writes poetry
But they never ask

Perhaps it’s the monster
That keeps him away
And keeps them at bay
Keeps him quiet
From the things he has seen
Places he has been
And done

But he is calm

The manic maniac monster
Has become philosophical of late
Darn site
Calmer
Than he used to be

Less of a trigger
And more of a Tiger
Lurking in the background

But still
He is a troubled man
By injustice
And disrespect
His self control
Adept without a muscles twitch

He is calm

Well, we are all (most of us I hope) troubled by injustice and disrespect. This man has grown so much. History (his own) seems to have taught him well, however, no, he is not happy. Perhaps that is around the corner, something, someone to rid the monster, once and for all. A journey unfinished. Love, Shar
