The Trinity
I remember growing up in a family feeling alone,
Unconditional love from my mother was never shown.
She was cold, and harbored hate in her heart,
Peaceful moments came when we were apart.
I grew up without Jesus,
I grew up without the Lord,
I grew up without the Holy Ghost,
The Trinity I needed most.
Eventually I had a child of my own,
Even then I still felt so alone.
I loved my child, but something was missing,
Like I was screaming, but no one was listening.
It was life without Jesus,
It was life without the Lord,
It was life without the Holy Ghost,
The Trinity I needed most.
Through trials and tribulations, I continued to stand,
When I was ready to give up, I found the right man.
He came to me with unconditional love,
As if I were the hand and he was the glove.
It was because I found Jesus,
It was because I found the Lord,
It was because I found the Holy Ghost,
The Trinity I needed most.
After so much pain I had been through,
I found a love so pure and so true.
Everything before him was all a fraud,
Because our union was blessed by God.
Now I have Jesus,
Now I have the Lord,
Now I have the Holy Ghost,
The unconditional love I need most.
