The Trick of Deception

You think you know who I am
You believe to know my whole story
How dead wrong you are about it
You are being misleaded by my actions

I am a troubled spririt
And you thought I was fine
Ha, how I've fooled you all
Because you believe everything you see

Though I am not brusied on the outside
My soul is crushed and burning with hurt
I haven't been whole for many years now
Torn into many pieces that are unable to be fixed

So don't look at my smile and think I'm fine
Look into my eyes, they will tell my story
As I lay here defeated by my own wickedness
Destroyed by the wounds that dwell inside
