Regarding God's Creation and our responsibility to obey His laws.
Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
In the middle of the plush Garden of Eden
the Lord planted His sole but lovely tree,
and explained to His created beings Adam and Eve
that “This one belongs only to me”.
It didn’t seem too much for God to ask
and for them to obey His plan;
after all they had dominion over everything else
then what had happened to make throw that plan in the garbage can?
Let us but look at what the Bible says
for our answers must come from there,
how Eve when faced with the temptation didn’t turn and run away
but continually at the forbidden fruit she did stare.
And, proudly at times we think to ourselves
what a foolish and ridiculous choice she had made,
And Adam the wiser of the two and not at all deceived
becomes a traitor towards his God that is how he behaved.
Becoming an earthly parent slightly allows you to
realize how men have hurt the heart of Father God,
treading down His laws and commandments for His people
with as much care as you see and animal wallowing in the muddy sod.
You see our God seeks out a people who will serve Him out of love
for that is what the tree was all about,
it wasn’t about His being selfish, demanding, unloving or unkind but it revealed the hidden parts of the human heart that if not surrendered to Him the evil will eventually come out.
