The Traveler

Where would you be,
if you could choose?
Would you travel
space… or time?
Would you visit spots
around the globe...
or memories
in your mind?
Would you travel land and sea
to places far and near?
Or transcendental ties that bind,
when you could pick the year?
Seas and shores remain the same,
but your recollections fade…
Be careful what you wish for,
‘cause it might come back in spades… center>Copyright © 2010

Hi Cole, this is beautifully done. I like how you highlight the fact that sceneries may remain intact but our memories fade in time. Spots or memories - now that's a tough choice -on one hand memories do come from visiting spots but on the other hand spots become meaningless if they are not attached to memories. Which to choose? That remains the question. Very well written!
