The Transformation of My Inner Self

Life was OK before this moment
nothing exciting but again not bad
I'd started to go to church every week
hearing the gospel! hey this is no fad

God's truth grasped me afresh
like nothing else I've known before
I wanted to understand this so much
for first time I saw my spiritual door

Later on, I wed my love Jean
a few months later Jean left my abode
the Lord took her to be with Him
now at that moment, God took my load

By His spirit entered my very soul
I had met with God in salvation
my spirit came alive truly transformed
on my way growing by sanctification

There within felt an inner light
enlightening to God's word so true
now this God is just a prayer away
confident He fills my spiritual brew

(The moment that God came and changed me on the inside to effect the outside too.)

He is always there Gordon, we just have to open our hearts and minds sometimes. Hope you're not affected by ' Jorge'. Enjoy your weekend. Tom

Hi Tom, thanks for your reassuring words, 'Jorge' has not appeared yet on Scottish soil but it's a stormy rainy day up here. Have a blessed weekend, Gordon
