The Touch
The Touch
Today our world is full of strife,
Violent crime, and loss of life,
Poverty and pestilence;
It doesn't seem to make much sense.
Atheists,I've heard it said,
All declare that God is dead;
He can't be in the world today,
A world like this is not His way.
But that is just the word of Man,
We can't know God's eternal plan;
Look around, there is still good:
The singing birds, the towering Wood.
But if you need to know that God is here,
Then hold a child, and dry his tear;
Make him laugh, and love him much,
Take his hand...and feel God's touch.
