The Torch of Romance

I light a torch and hold it so high,
It shines so bright, it lights the sky.
You'll see the light, you'll know it's me
You find the strength, to set yourself free.
From the pain and sorrow,
You're the best, so let it be!

I've walked thru many days of years,
Then a whisper of words, in my ears.
Thou, laughed and cried, with many tears.
I believe that you were always there,
My memories was fading, but I always cared!
So, let the light shine bright and strong,
But remember, a love that was never so wrong!

Very uplifting piece of art displayed here on the soup! I enjoyed a lot. A wonderful insight into the romantic world contained in your soul and displayed perfectly in rhythmic words! Keep writing! Always, Laura

12/16/11 I penned this poem for a dear friend who hasn't been with me, but inspires me to write with love and joy. Peace on Earth and Happy Holidays throughout the year! Full of Joy and good things to a "Merry Christmas".
