The Tongue Tamer
A young lady named Betty Young
Had trouble controlling her tongue
Whenever she spoke
Attempting a joke
She used nasty zingers that stung
A helpful friend gave her advice
“Before you say something, think twice
Reject what is acid
And choose what is placid
And stick to a tone that is nice.”
