The Tone of a Poet

The poet conditions herself to self blame
for she writes of life's ups and downs
a sense of bored gents from town to town
for she hides her grief tucked away underneath
a torn soul in which only she knows well

you see most great poets are only known
after hell ah the agony a true poet lives
just to be heard unselfishly she gives
of truth despair and in the end who cares
about a girl poet full of gloom to be shown
as Shakespeare's sister she hasn't a room of her own
