The Tiny Heart

A little sparrow,
Chirped and jumped
Around his friend
Still and cold
In hopes of warmth.

With every leap,
A plea to thrive
He turned and twirled.

The little sparrow,
Seeking help beneath
The fading light,
Chirped and jumped.

(Based on a true event.)
