The Times Between
The times between
The spectacle of nature revealed to the senses
as seasons unfold
A connection bound up where none can affect
in the well worn trail of the mind
Where the gray dawn revealed where the gray fox crossed
a wisp in the fog
and the goose wings shone bright
in the golden light that morning
In the hushed fall evening wood ducks land at my feet
as I wade their fishy bower
The squirrels jungle gym was blown down in a storm
but left fledglings at its feet
When the summer heat abates
or a late winter sun warms my skin
these are special times
the times between
