The Time Being Now

there comes a time when we are shaken
violently out of pompous and vain complacency

there comes a time for solemn introspection
for re-evaluating priorities and beliefs

there comes a time for sober questioning
meaning and grasping chance for realignment

there comes a time for summoning
self-awareness and restoring faith

it's in such troubled times that we are tested
and somehow the guiding light may shine clearer than ever
