The Tide Had Changed

I stood looking at the sea for a long time.
The wind gently tugging at my hair and the sounds of the seagulls,
up above, calling out to one another a familiar sound.

I don’t know how long I was out there.
But.
I was amazed when I realized that the tide had changed.
It was unfamiliar and strange somehow!?
My heart skipped a beat and I could feel it throbbing loudly,
Thump, thump, thump!
I was scared.

I closed my eyes and prayed.
I gently opened my eyes and welcomed the strange tide,
Bringing change and new things to come.

I am ready.
I am strong.
It is time for something new.

The wild thumping of my heart stopped.
The pain was gone.
I raised my head with pride and expectation.
My confidence returned.
It’s time to be me.
To live my life.
Being comfortable to be me.
I feel whole again with a clear sense of purpose.
Thank you, Lord.
For your guidance
For your support and mostly
For your love.

I am whole again.
It is time to move on.
