The Ticket Drowned In the Black and Ground

The train time is set

She should be here by now

The long coats at the far end

Sense a meeting here and now

The ticket in the hand

Was her last chance to run from all this

The coffee in the cup sealed her fate with no goodbye kiss!

The ticket drowned in the black and ground!

she is too late - he cannot wait around!

A change into new clothes left in the cubicle behind the bar

Is she on the run? Is she underground? Has she gone too far?

The secrets stolen no one will ever know what she found.

He must now escape from this new surveillance all around.

He must walk a way from this scene always to know

He could not help the courageous woman - he just had to let her go.
