The Three Poems of Melancholy

1.

I cannot express the rage I feel;
my caring heart, besieged.
how can I see the beauty in life?
...-With eyes consumed with tears.

---------------------------------------------------------------

2.

A million drops,
a million grams,
forever.

a bleak future nears;
heartlessly.
Without a heart's prayer,
time continues on;
-into listless pain.

-------------------------------------------------------------
3.

I once knew beauty,
where did it go?
The foolish ideals,
the hope;
the songs that made my heart beat.

They are no more;
my heart still beats,
but filled with empty,
filled with pity,
filled with disgust,
the feelings of despair.

Perpetuating the world's hatred through my breast. Cascading a waterfall of pain upon my
head, pain I never wished to know.

I buried my ideals at it's base, an epitaph held true:
"Here lies my faith in humanity,vanquished-
may humanity follow soon."

I see no future;
my heart is numb;
to a cruel world,
-I never wished to know.
