The Thread of God

What are the thoughts that zoom through your head?
I can sense your emotions fighting over things your heart has said
sometimes when idea and emotion meet they are wed
things that happen are often instead
reality of two spirits connecting on a single thread,
the thread of God that extends from the God-head
like a web down to earth where we, as humans, tread
the thoughts are connected - even those left unsaid,
the mind fighting emotions shooting out warheads
that violently crash, causing fire to be bred
a fierce rushing heat that many often dread
but sometimes the fire is what purifies instead
we pray to our Father and will not be misled
we will soar in the skies, on His connecting web as foresaid
in our hearts and minds His words we will embed
remembering always the blood that he bled
is what brought us together, friendship looming ahead.

You wrote this so well that I didn't even realize I was reading a monorhyme until a little over halfway in. Beautifully put together and very moving. Thanks for sharing! I can see your faith, loud and clear, in this piece...
