The Thing About Seeds
So the thing about seeds
is that they will always grow
And the thing about chains
is that they can contain you
They can leave scars on your wrists
And scars on your mind
As though escaping and hoping was all a distant memory
The thing about leaves is that they make music in the wind
And the thing about scars
is that they will heal
And the thing about today
is that there is always tomorrow
