The Thing About Cancer

The thing about cancer
They fill you with drugs
While it poisons your blood
It is deadly to bugs

While walking last evening
Mosquitoes were buzzen’
They swarmed all around me
There were maybe two dozen
When a brave one attacked
He bites me and dies
The rest of them hover
They were somewhat surprised
The buzzing continues
Until it is clear
My blood is pure poison
They all disappear

I don’t recommend chemo
To rid you of pests
It may work well on bugs
But you won’t like the rest

If the stories are true
There are really vampires
If one bites a chemo patient
Do you think he too expires?
