The Tenor of the Time

     The democratic West 
        opts for the collective mind
        in thrall to the tenor of the time

     But terrorism unchecked
        ‘s’ always a losing bet

     ‘Cos you don’t need some ‘great reason’
        ~ Fighting terror’s always in season
