The Tell Tale Brain

When I looked up and peeked into my soul What I saw was a lie The brain had lied to the heart Promised it that it loved someone else The brain had the hearts best interest Because the brain knew that the heart Loved someone that didn't love the heart The brain kept it's secret well Pushed it down Kept it locked in a dusty box sat upon the place where remnants Of the past love were kept The heart is blind Much like love But it isn't stupid The heart caught up with the brain The brain told the heart to leave the fake love The real love was waiting Real love had a brain that didn't like it's heart Her brain often tricked her heart She was often left confused Now our heart is shattered And her brain can't comprehend
