The Taste Of Ice
I used to be a thing of
beauty
now I’m just this
hideous mess.
I reached my peak
my climax
this story of the year
Is over
No more seasons, just calender months
Broken down into mud, sweat, showers and snowstorms
I watched my magic
slowly
but oh so suddenly
fade away.
completely . .
d i s a p p e a r . . .
gone
down the rabbit hole.
Im late, I’m late
for a very important date!
too late
Twas fate
I came tumbling in after
noon
so soon
on or around
the full moon
in tune,
but without
(rhythm. )
Every star eventually dies.
every vibration, every beat, every melody, every song
fades and finally
s l o w s . ..
to its final rest
Its final pitch:
black.
(back to where
it all
b e
g
a
n).
now
describe to me
the taste
of
ice.
who knew nothing could taste so cold?
