A tooth for a tooth
An eye for an eye
If by the sword you live,
you will die and never ask why.
Your sword in your hand is your truth. 

Vengeance is mine
and I will repay 
Hark, the (s)word of the Lord.
Count on it, there's payday, someday. 
Think! Why the absence of a time line?

Mrs Poteet, nice with the '(s)word'. Took me right to Hebrews 4:12 { For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

THanks for commenting, Rob. That verse has always mystified me, the soul and the spirit being divided. The joints and marrow, at least I understand, and I can see a vague separation of thoughts and intents. But to split the soul and spirit; God's (s)word is like Him, beyond comprehension.
