The sweetest words
Love is a sweet word
but there are some that are sweeter
There are some words we need to hear
‘I love you’ some crave for,
But not for me in, not a million years
There are some words that can hurt
others that can heal
Some words cause us harm
Some words we physically feel
Four letter words can cause us shame
Others cause embarrassment
Harsh words heard - who is to blame?
Soothing words written, a subtle message sent.
The sweetest words I ever heard
Were not of love they were just a question
The simple words meant more to me than any possession
Are from the one I thought I lost
Asking me ‘Are you an angel?
