It is good to find out, through your excellent poetry, that there were kings who were not despots, but real people who had a vision which I assume did not men going to war. Enjoyed this . . .

Excellent piece. I have Bavarian ancestry...although my family left Bavaria back in the 1400's.

Thank you so much M.L! Thanks for very kind comments and sharing. I lived in Germany for 3 years a long many years ago. Germany in all included Bavaria, the famous Black Forest and all that are just enchantingly beautiful! My older daughter was born in Germany while lived there. Dear Dorian, even though I hadn't heard of this kind previously, I wish I had. Tender-hearted, tortured souls are often misunderstood. There are so many artists who fall into this category and it is wonderful to know a king can be blessed with these endearing qualities. Beautifully written! Love, carolyn
