The Superpop

I can’t. Icon. Three such simple words,
plastered on a yacht featuring the queen.
‘All aboard!’ Madonna calls…
                            ‘All aboard the Superpop.’

It took me a lifetime to get here. An eternity.
Little me on her knees made the devil pray,
I worked hard for my bucket list.
Now it’s time to play..
‘All aboard! All aboard the Superpop.’

Manifesting it from my vision board
I must have dreamed up this world tour,
following my favorite star.

Ten different destinations
ten different reinventions of a legend.
I can’t possibly be here about to follow her.
Maybe she’ll play impromptu at the bar.
                           ‘All aboard the Superpop.’

That was how I felt before I came aboard.
I thought I knew just what I was in for.
It was just as I thought, until the last stop.
‘All aboard! All aboard the Superpop.’

On the streets of New York City,
I was meant to lose my mind completely.
I knew this was a finale fit for a royal.
Instead of just one? It was meant for three.
‘To all you fans here’s a gift from me.
Please welcome my brothers in royalty.
Prince, MJ…
How ‘bout you come and dance with me?

‘All aboard the Superpop!’ Madonna bowed.
