The Sunburst Sky
The sunburst sky of dainty dawn
Dons colors of rose spread on petals of cloud
Like a swinging tree in the wind I stand alone
Hear my hued heart sing aloud.
The sun from the horizon would rise high
The cosmic colors would soon disappear
In the blue abyss of the satin sky
But from my eyes the colors won't clear.
Amidst dense despair of the darkened days
When in my sky the fire of the sun won't burn
My eyes would send colors to the soul to stay
The lost gleam in my life would then return.
The splendor of the rising sun I’d capture
Keep it in my adoring heart forever close
Pulsating with the timeless waves of rapture
Even when the sun sets I won’t lose.
