The Sun Is Shining

The Sun is shining
but the morning is cold
it's rays are not enough 
to heat the earth below
to warm the ones that are cold
to unfreeze iced hearts
to stop the freezing drafts
to break the winter glow

The Sun is shining
it's rays are trying hard
to bring back the warmth
the hot feeling inside
the happiness from the soul
that only a sunny day shows


The Sun is shining
it's rays are revealing rainbows
that were hidden from us
all the colors that were muted
now are bright and glamorous
spreading happiness and light
like only love can abide 

The Sun is shining
it's rays are now strong
bringing life from above
spreading warmth and light
sharing its unique kind
of peace, happiness and love

The sun is shining...
