The Sun Is Moving South

The Sun is Moving South

The sun is Moving south
No, it's really not at all
It's the orbit of the Earth
And the tilting of the ball

The Sun sits in the middle
Not moving much at all
Providing light and warmth for us
Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall

Makes all the Seasons happen
As we move around the Sun
Other planets moving with us
We are not the only one

This is getting complicated
Even though I know it's true
The Sun's shining in the window
I've got other things to do

Enjoy ending days of Summer
Fall's beauty in the trees
Migratory birds and nature
Sensory overload to please

Doesn't matter how it happens
Just enjoy life every day
And the Seasons as they come around
I've got nothing else to say

Sharon, thanks for the nice comments. The last stanza is the real reason I wrote it. It's my favorite also.
