The Sun and the Moon

Whilst the sun wasn’t looking the moon rose high
She gathered the stars for the suns’ surprize
But the sun had already moved away
And she felt sorrow because it was his birthday
When the sun rose early at the break of dawn
The moon and the stars had long been gone
He could hear them crying vaguely in the distance
Don’t worry my darling we’ll meet together at eclipses’
Don’t think I don’t know of all your pain
I’ll rise up behind you make you smile again
And illuminate you and all of your friends
Because I know of your beautiful party plans
So the sun and the moon now meet at certain times
And all of their children come together and shine
Never will she ever weep again
For the sun loves the moon and they’re the best of friends
