The Sun

The winds of this world blow strong against us
And the waters stir with unrest
Though darkness falls among us
The light of day shines bright from the sun above

And the sun brings hope,
Brings light when all was dark
In this light of hope shines victory

The angels of God bow down in the presence
Of this light, for this light is the Son of God
And His garments flow over us
Giving us refuge from evil and the wormwood rises no more

The Morning Star pours out the oil
Which heals and overcomes
And He shows us the stars that watch over head

He points to the open door which leads us to the harvest
As He walks with His bride adorned in white robes
He leads her to the New Jerusalem
Where Israel rejoices in the Rock of their salvation
And the Lord’s Day is forever celebrated
