The Sun

If the sun offered
Would you offer your sorrows?
Would you pass it your pain?
Would you give it your grief?
If the sun asked
Would you let it take the tears?
Would you offer it your heart, to fix?
If the sun said 'Let me help you'
Would you be willing to pass on all the bad
And not even say 'thank you'.
As you watch the darkness,
The bad, the demons, and the negativity
Consume the sun,
Would you expect it to still shine?
