Notes About The Poem
Evil isn't going to give permission to fight back. As a stoic I don't believe that good and evil aren't subjective. However, I do believe largely people have diminished that word "Evil," We've all diminished it by visiting it on people with problems, or on people with moderately different values, or visiting it on people with a different lifestyle. Now when faced by the real thing, suddenly everyone loses their nerve. Peace is a beautiful thing don't get me wrong. But there's more then one kind of peace, and making peace with that evil is exactly how it came to be our rulers, the wealthy, the disturbed and unnatural creatures we can no longer deny.

The summons of heroes

Nobody gets out of life alive, it's a question of what you did.

So now we find our honor, a reason left to live

We stand to fight the monsters, and we'll stand right on the ledge,

It's time to summon mettle, return plowshare, to edge,

Some things are worse then dying, and not fighting, for what's right, is.

Call to all your Elders, call upon your Chiefs, call upon your Knights and Jarls and raise heroes amongst the meek.

Find your belly,
Grow a spine,
and in truth we'll probably fall,
But better they who live to tell,
of how we fought at all.....
