The Strength In My Shadow
Today, everyday,
There are people that I talk to.
There are people that are "near."
Do they?
Do they see that shadow?
And if they do..
Why don't they help me ward it away?
There is a limit, you know.
A limit to what I'll actually show.
Instinctively, I openly concede others' happiness.
-I fall within my shadow.
-I hide behind my smile.
-As I crumble inside my whole.
Today, everyday,
There is God that I talk to.
There is God that is near.
He does,
He does see that shadow.
And when He does..
He unquestionably takes it away.
There is no limit, you know.
No limit to how much I can grow.
Instinctively, he replenishes my happiness.
-He follows me in my shadow.
-He reveals my true smile.
-As I grow stronger inside my soul.
