The Streets
Me and the streets... what more can I say
it's a mutual love and hate.
It's a mutual love because we don't like the jakes
but it's hate because... I'm positive and he's negative
I'm a felon wit a record, but because
I know the truth now, believe and I'm fighting for it
he wants me in the air like Jordan
you see I know he's poison
and true I tasted the venom
but seeing is believing and like
he's out to get me, I got it out for him
he knows where I came from, knows where I been
and all for the love of money he's claimed the lives of many
and knowing that I used to work for him
is already saying plenty, and look at me
now all them niggas that ran wit me
is still out there so one things for sure...
spiritually we're enemies
but as far as them friends of mine
maybe they will but chances are they won't ride wit me
because... as long as the negative influence is out there
the ones who are lost will forever live in despair,
sad part about it who really cares
