The Stranger/ the Joke
I Smile At A Stranger
Just The Person Walking Past Me
They Are Older, Not Quite Old As Can Be
I Smile At A Stranger
I Say To The Stranger
In A Young Pleasent Tone
When I Grow Up I Want To Be Just Like You, You Know
I Say To The Stranger
The Stranger Smiles Back At Me
Nods Their Head, In Appriciation
Continues Walking Not Sure What To Think
But The Nervous Stranger Smiled Back At Me
I Laugh Behind The Stranger
Fully Aware
That How I Act, Makes Them Scared
I Laugh Behind The Stranger
I Watch The Stranger Walk Away
They Don't Understand My Joke Today
The True Key To My Words
I Watch The Stranger Walk Away Into The World
The Key To My Joke
The Hidden Punch Line
Is That I Will Never Be Like Them
Because I Will Never Grow Up Inside
