The Story of My Life

Crawled across the floor
But then I learned to walk
Crawled a little more
And then I learned to talk

I caught my bus to school
There I learned to write
Some kids they are so cruel
And do things out of spite

I did drink from a fountain
Then went to run and play
Ran back to the fountain
Then back into the fray

I never picked on anyone
Except the harshest bullies
They did not have any fun
When they were being bullied

Skiing down the mountain
I must have lost my way
Was stuck up on that mountain
There’s not much more to say

Now each day I go to work
And have so much to say
I think back and just smirk
Even smiling at the dismay

Sat down upon the grass
It was there I ate my lunch
Pulled out a small glass
Poured myself some punch

The story of my life
Is that I can hurt no-one
I would never hit my wife
Or call her names for fun

Always treat your family
Like this was your last day
Say you love your family
It’s what I always say
