The Storm

Rain softly falling Gust blowing with a Vengeance Darkness all around Thunder rattling the windows Lightning illuminating the sky from a distance Trees falling with deafening thuds Trickles of my sweat fall My heart drops with each bang And yet a short pause ensues… Not a sound to bee heard… Am I safe? Suddenly… Thunder roars! Boom! Lightening strikes again I scream desperately for this storm to end As tears fall off my fearful face I have no one to contact I remain alone Am I safe? I still must ponder…
