The Storm

Lightening flashes and thunder crashes, Rains flow and winds blow. The Storm is upon me and I’m caught unprepared. Such thoughts I’m thinking and feelings I’m feeling – as never before. Till now the Calm has been serene with most days placid and uninteresting. With great power The Storm comes over me, exerting its force, wanting me to yield to it. But, I cannot, must not not yet, not now. I must control the storm of passion and longing you have stirred up inside me. Otherwise, the Rains will drown me, the Winds will tear me apart, and everything I need to give to you and hope to receive from you will be lost forever. I’ll resist this storm as long as I am able or until you are able to meet me in the eye of the hurricane. Once there, we may both rejoice in the peaceful silence of the calm or anytime we feel the need, we can experience the fury and unending passion born of Love. 6/25/86
