The Storm

Shes hanging by a string The storm is lurking Right around the corner The darkness waits Ready to carry her away This time She wont be coming back There’s only so much One can take Before exhaustion sets in And the dark, wins. Over and over again She’s tried Over and over again She’s been left And over and over again She’s alone again. So alone it hurts So hurt, she’s scared So scared, she’s frozen So frozen, she’s numb So numb, she’s alone. She’s moving closer to the storm The darkness Has become a familiar place She knows, wants to move towards the light But the storms familiar arms pull her forth She takes one last look at the sun Knowing, she doesn't belong there anyway.

Love your line, "darkness has become a familiar place"...evokes such sadness. I wonder where you are Juliana Star.
