The Stone....

Hand on reign,my mount does walk
the countryside with I we talk
his neighing response as music to my ear
gift from nature pleasantly near
huckleberry bush we stop to munch
clover tops his favorite lunch....

My other hand sits this mysterious stone
reddish veins criss-cross middle
as if hearts center
winding around in embryonic spiral
found high in the mountains
in dryed up river bank
golden specks of sparklelike stars
with shining threads as a
dew filled spiders web in sunlight....

I look in amazement and wonder,
what were you to be....
before frozen in time

My constant companion filling wonders
as I continue on this journey
to my castle keep.....
