The Stillness of Time
The distance between our eyes
is an unmeasurable treasure
Where background worlds disappear
and our souls reach out to be tethered
to the mast of our heart
as the stillness of time
smolders in the dewy mist of our yearning
bonding us to the calm need of surrender
