The Staycation

The Staycation. It’s time for my staycation, Explore at home in this great nation. No airport runs and a long wait, I’ve just driven up the road to date, with kids, bucket and spade, dog and the sandwiches we made. The sea may be cool, But we found some pools and paddled most of the day. We love it! the family all say. So it’s no more new time zone, I will sit in Pevensey, with an ice cream cone.

Hello Debbie ... I can't agree more with you. Discover your own backyard before spending time and money on not greener grass - thank you Debbie - Lindsay

Hello Lindsay ... Thank you for your comment on my poem it is the first one and it is so nice to know someone has read them. I did my first open mic here in Eastbourne and read out two poems which went down well. My book Poems To Please is on Amazon with around 43 more. Kind Wishes Debbie

A day at the beach within reach? Enjoy it whilst you can! The world sees beautiful beaches in Hawai'i, but in Hawai'i, we see tons of discarded fishing gear, plastic, and other trash containing dead marine life. At least you can pass on happy memories to your children! Aloha!

Dear Rico, I have wanted to visit Hawai'i so much, it is the place my friend said is her favourite in every place in the world she has been to ... that said it is very sad to hear about the plastic and debris. I do hope your locals have a good litter pick, we do regularly they are called The Wealdon Wombles. Debbie
