The Stars Tonight

As I look upon the stars tonight,
shining against the cobalt blue,
it brings to me a feeling serene
and a smile as I think of you.

Wondering if your eyes, by chance,
have gazed upon this night,
and if your smile returns to me
through twinkling of starlight.

Beautiful and magnificent,
the moon itself is hanging high
as if to speak to its shining subjects, "Amen,"
King of the nighttime sky.

As I turn to take another peek
at this wondrous sight,
I cannot help but wish I could share
with you this moment and this night....
